Athena Transactions in Social Sciences and Humanities Publishes First Proceedings

Athena International Publishing is pleased to announce that its new proceedings series "Athena Transactions in Social Sciences and Humanities" has published its first two conference proceedings: Proceedings of the 8th International Conference on Arts, Design and Contemporary Education (ICADCE 2022) and Proceedings of the 4th International Conference on Architecture: Heritage, Traditions and Innovations (AHTI 2022).

Athena Transactions in Social Sciences and Humanities is an open access book series dedicated to publishing proceedings of academic conferences and workshops in the broad fields of Social Sciences and Humanities. The series was launched at the start of 2022 and offers conference organizers a fast, versatile and cost-effective process for publishing the proceedings of academic conferences and workshops in these fields. Volume 1 was published in November and contains the proceedings of the 8th International Conference on Arts, Design and Contemporary Education (ICADCE 2022). Jointly organized by five institutions from China, Russia and Belarus, the aim of ICADCE 2022 was to provide a common platform for educators, artists, scholars and students with different cultural backgrounds to present and discuss research, developments and innovations in the fields of Art and Art Education.

Shortly after, this was followed by the publication of Volume 2 which contains the proceedings of the 4th International Conference on Architecture: Heritage, Traditions and Innovations (AHTI 2022). This conference was organized by the Scientific Research Institute of the Theory and History of Architecture and Urban Planning, Branch of the “CNIIP of the Ministry of Construction of the Russian Federation” (NIITIAG; Moscow, Russia), with assistance from 7 additional institutions from China, Russia, Armenia, Belarus and France. AHTI 2022 was devoted to a wide range of problems, including the history and theory of architecture, architectural heritage protection, innovation in contemporary architecture, and architectural aspects of town planning.

Two more volumes will be published in this series in the coming weeks, the Proceedings of the 3rd International Conference on Education Studies: Experience and Innovation (ICESEI 2022) and the Proceedings of the 9th International Conference on Education, Language, Art and Inter-Cultural Communication (ICELAIC 2022), thus marking a successful start for Athena's proceedings portfolio in the Social Sciences. At the time of writing this article, discussions on the appointment of a Series Editor were still ongoing.
